SapphireValley.com Announces the Sapphire Valley Candle Company

Sapphire Valley, North Carolina – SapphireValley.com

– your source for everything Sapphire Valley, announces the new Sapphire Valley Candle Company - just in time for the Fall Leaf Season and the upcoming Holiday Season!

Sapphire Valley Candle Company represents a natural extension to the already successful Sapphire Valley General Store”, stated Lisa and Rick Stargel, developers of both the General Store and the Sapphire Valley Candle Company.

“We just could not find the right mix of quality candles at a price that would fit into our model for the Sapphire Valley General Store.  So, after much research and testing, we created a new company to focus on custom blended, hand poured Soy Based Wax Candles”.

The Sapphire Valley General Store will offer several fragrances for the 2012 season including Baked Apple Pie, Fireside, Fresh Cut Christmas Trees, Eggnog, Pumpkin, Campfire, and Scents of Christmas – to name just a few.

SapphireValley.com and SkiSapphireValley.com have family ties in Sapphire Valley dating back to 1954 and is operated by High South Ventures, LLC.

Why Soy and How Long will they burn?

sapphire valley resort ski area golf courseOne of the most important benefits of Sapphire Valley Candle Company soy candles is how clean they burn.

Soy wax doesn't not produce the black soot like paraffin does. While some might say "no soot", it's actually "little soot".

Everything that burns puts off smoke, and soy candles are no exception. However, the amount of smoke released from soy wax is so minimum, there are very few that notice it.

Testing shows that when burned properly, our soy candles should burn between 60 and 70 hours. See our notes about burning your soy candle below.

How long will my Sapphire Valley Candle Company candle burn?

Burn Times: 8 oz. – 60 - 70 hours*

*Approximate longevity when burned correctly.

Candle Tips & Burn Instructions:

First Burn — Allow pool of wax to extend to outside rim of jar to set it's "memory." Each time you burn the candle, it will "remember" to burn out to the rim. Rule of thumb: Burn one hour for every inch of your candle's diameter.
Keep wicks trimmed to 1/4" and centered.
------------------------------------------
Burn candles on a protective, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts.

Extinguish flame by dipping wick into the melted wax pool, then reposition. This will help eliminate smoking or "afterglow." Store candles in an upright, level position in a dark and cool area.  Do not store directly in bright light or leave in your vehicle. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Never leave a burning candle unattended!

To extinguish flame: Simply dip your wick (with a fire-safe utensil or accessory) into the melted wax pool and back out again. That's it—no smoky residue or "afterglow"! Make sure your wick is centered for the next burn.
